San Mateo Estates is a lovely place to spend time relaxing, site-seeing, or enjoying a myriad of outdoor adventures – all within minutes from the Park. Our Park is located within the unincorporated community of San Mateo in Putnam County, Florida, United States, located just southeast of the city of Palatka. It is on the east shore of the St. Johns River between buoys 12 and 15; stretching from Buzzard Island to the entrance to Dunn’s Creek. Putnam County offers many accessible outdoor recreation areas that have facilities for hiking, picnicking and organized sports. More than 28 parks and recreation facilities in the county have year-round facilities with ball fields, tennis courts, swimming areas, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Residents of all ages can stay active all year long with their favorite sports and activities.
